A weekend or 4 evening course starting with the absolute basics. No previous experience necessary. Working towards RYA Level 1.
This course is normally run mostly or entirely in our larger dinghies capable of carrying up to three students, with an instructor in the boat with you, at least until you’ve got the hang of the basics. Please note due to COVID restrictions this course is currently run in singlehanded dinghies, with instructor(s) teaching from a powerboat. If you’re not sure if this is right for you then please contact us. We do not currently know when this will change.
All necessary kit can be borrowed for the course for free.
Weather permitting, the course will cover the basic skills required to get a dinghy out on the water in good weather to join in a sailing session, such as Monday Mayhem.
No prior sailing experience necessary. You must be happy to be in the water wearing a buoyancy aid, but do not need to be able to swim. If you’re unsure if this is the right course for you then please contact us.
