Keelboats

Racing

** Update March 2021. We await easing of lockdown restrictions before club activities can resume in April. Please keep an eye on our website and Social Media for the latest News. **

Our previous ‘normal’ activities are listed below for reference should we be able to return to a stable routine.

Keelboat racing takes place in Oban Harbour almost every Tuesday evening meeting at 6/6.30pm for a 7pm start, between April and September. In addition there are regular weekend Trophy races, a regatta, and the club organises the Round Mull Race over a weekend in late June or early July. Oban Sailing Club is also a co-organiser (along with the Royal Highland Yacht Club and Western Isles Yacht Club) of West Highland Week in July/August.

Whether you have any experience or not we encourage you to try your hand at keelboat racing. Either contact the Vice-Commodore directly or come down to the clubhouse on spec any Tuesday evening at 6pm. (You will need waterproof clothing).
