Join visiting outdoor enthusiasts Rob and Haidee as they walk us through epic Hokkaido journeys and share tips on human powered adventures.
Looking for inspiration for epic adventures?
Join visiting outdoor enthusiasts for an evening learning about Hokkaido, Japan’s northernmost island. A stone’s throw from Russia’s Siberia region, Hokkaido is arguably East Asia’s mecca for outdoor adventure. Best known globally for its bottomless-powder backcountry skiing, it’s also one of Japan’s most popular destinations for wild alpine tramping, multiday cycle touring, and epic paddling (whitewater, lakes and sea kayaking). In this exclusive 2hr session, Rob and Haidee Thomson will walk us through five iconic human-powered journeys to be had in Hokkaido – by foot, ski, bicycle and paddle. Expect details about must-see locations, DIY travel logistics, flora, fauna, and why Hokkaido should be high on your travel list.
