Honda Youth Challenge
Congratulatinos to Andrew Pretswell, who after winning the Scottish heats of the powerboat challenge gained a very creditable 7th place overall in the UK national finals at the Southampton Boat Show.
Round Shuna race (28 August)
Congratulations to Andrew Chapman who was first boat home overall in his Laser Radial. Also Hot Toddy was first in Class 3 and Tangle o' the Isles and Shadowfax were 2nd and 3rd in Class 1. Tangle o' the Isles was also the top keelboat for the feeder and Round Shuna races combined.
West Highland Yachting Week
Conrgatulations to three OSC boats, Shadowfax, Hot Toddy and Torranan, all of which won third places overall in their respective classes. In addition Hot Toddy won the Oban to Shuna feeder race.

Willie Buchanan
Oban Sailing Club regrets to report that Willie Buchanan, a former committee member, has died suddenly at the age of 52. He will be very much missed and our thoughts go out to his wife, Anne, and his family.
