Racing

Dinghy racing takes place in Oban Bay every Thursday evening (start 1900 h) between April and October.  In addition there are occasional weekend  events and Oban Town Regatta.

Main dates

    Icicle Series: 29th of March, 5th of April and 12th of April 2009

    Oban Town Dinghy Regatta: 29th and 30th of August 2009

    Frostbite Series: 6th of September- 11th of October 2009

Training

Oban Sailing Club is an RYA approved dinghy training centre.  Dinghy training takes place on Monday evenings during the school summer term on the 6 Toppers that the club owns for teaching purposes.  Parents are invited to help, particularly with participating in rescue boat duties.
