The start 1

Rounding Kerrara at the start of the 2008 race

The Round Mull yacht race is run over a three day weekend every year in late June or early July.  The race is one of the highlights of the West Coast yachting calendar.  Every year boats from all over Scotland and further afield converge on Oban for a great weekend of racing and conviviality amongst some of the finest scenery and sailing anywhere in the world.

In 2008 the race took place between Friday 4th July and Sunday 6th July.  A total of 44 yachts took part.  Photos of all the boats can be found on Pete Duggan's website here.
