The Round Mull yacht race is run over a three day weekend every year in late June or early July.  The race is one of the highlights of the West Coast yachting calendar.  Every year boats from all over Scotland and further afield converge on Oban for a great weekend of racing and conviviality amongst some of the finest scenery and sailing anywhere in the world. 

Round Mull 3rd to 5th July 2009

The race started with light airs and heavy rain providing a difficult challenge for the yachts as they set out for Tobermory.

Quotes from the 2008 race

In 2008 the race took place between Friday 4th July and Sunday 6th July.  A total of 44 yachts took part.  The results for 2008 can be found here.  Prizegiving was at the OSC dinner dance.  Photos of all the boats that took part in the race can be found on Pete Duggan's website here.
